Tommy Acosta, Editor of Sedona Verde Valley Times writes on
January 10th, 2008
It is not often a discerning audience at the Sedona Creative
Life Center gives a performer a standing ovation but this is
exactly what happened December 15th, 2007 when Flamenco
Guitarist Drew Diego Bennett and his ensemble brought the house
down and the audience to their feet at the end of their superb
concert.
Music flew from the stage, dazzling the concert goers with its
sheer passion, virtuosity, melodic flow and musicianship.
"It was the best concert I have ever seen," said Suava
Stachorski.
George Ramick, producer of "Beltway Bistros: Spain," writes on
January 12, 2007.
Drew Diego Bennett's flamenco guitar CD 'Flamenco Salsa'
wonderfully captures the atmosphere of a bullfight, a walk in a
garden of Spain under moonlight, and dancers demonstrating their
raw emotionalism.
I liked it so much I decided to use it in my television series
on food, culture, and history. Sit back, relax, enjoy this music
- and dream of Spain.

The Native American Flautist, Drew Diego Bennett's latest is a
daring departure from his 2005 debut release, 'Tribal
Awakening'!
The talented troubadour has traded in his Native American flute
for a flamenco guitar and the result is simply amazing!
Bennett's blending of Turkish, Mediterranean, and Spanish
influences with Smooth Jazz and Brazilian Rumbas is,
without-a-doubt, one of the best World Music CD's of the year.
Backed by an all-star cast, including John Herrera, Steve Culp,
Jonathan Miller and Turning Point's Thano Sahnas, the music is
lively, the playing superb and the songs delightful!
All original music by the Phoenix-based songwriter Drew Bennett,
the compositions display not only Bennett's mastering of
Flamenco guitar, but a true understanding of the Flamenco genre
as well!
Highlights include the title (opening) cut ,"Flamenco Salsa", a
marvelous track entitled, "La Manera Del Matador" and my
personal favorite, "Carnivale". Drew Bennett's, 'Flamenco Salsa'
is hot stuff!
Great reviews for Drew Diego Bennett's
'Tribal Awakening'
Release!
Gene Bates of Whispering Wind Magazine writes on January 9th,
2006
“Tribal Awakening is simply stupendous! Looking like Johnny
Depp's identical twin brother, Drew Bennett is a very talented
fellow; Playing everything from tribal drums and chimes to
Native American flute, guitar and quartz meditation bowl.
Mr. Bennett has started my New Year off with one wonderful CD.
One of my best bets for flute album of the year.

Jim Brenholts from Awareness (Holistic Magazine) praises Tribal
Awakening in the March/April 2006 issue.
“There are dozens, maybe hundreds of CD's in this style. This
one is certainly in the upper echelon.
This is a fun CD that holds its own within or without a healing
session. Drew has invoked the spirit of Kokopelli, a mischievous
and playful spirit, and given him a wide berth.

Marcella Cirignola from Amazing Sounds writes on February 17th,
2006.
Drew Diego Bennett is a talented Native American flutist. The
music fluctuates
between tribal mysticism and meditative music, with a certain
New Age touch. The
flutes tend to take a soloist role most of the time, and,
together with the guitars and
percussion, they transmit very intense feelings.

International Reviews of Drew Bennett
Raise ~ from, Yoga Magazine in London writes in the August
2006 issue,
Drew Diego Bennett is a gifted Native American flautist and
guitarist who combines flutes, acoustic guitars, tribal drums
and a whole lot more. This album offers something different.
There is something about the CD which will have you coming back
for more!
Voices of the Planet radio, Vladivostok Broadcasting
Corporation, Russia. Review
by Dmitry Shakin.
This wonderful, mystical and very expressive music comes
directly from the heart. If I were asked to describe it with
three words, I would say beautiful, peaceful and more important,
happy. Thats why I enjoy listening to it and telling my audience
about it.
By Yogi Dr. Malik - Editor of Yoga Magazine UK.
Drew Diego Bennett is an extremely talented guitarist, and this
excellent Spanish - Flamenco compilation evokes visions of warm
Mediterranean nights, passionate dancing and romance.
'Flamenco Salsa' contains an array of styles to suit a wide
range of tastes, from the vibrant tracks such as 'Flamenco
Salsa' and 'El Baile De La Noche' to the cinematic feel of 'Carnivale'
and the more gentle rhythms of 'Sandia Sunset' and 'Summers'
Lullaby'.
Drew Bennett is very reminiscent of Jesse Cook or the Gipsy
Kings - which speaks volumes for his pure natural talent. Drew
is also joined by special guest performers including John
Herrera and Jonathan Miller on violin. Yoga Magazine issue May
